Wish that I could now remove

The pain you feel today

And wash away your heartache

And chase your tears away

I see your ache and sorrow

And know of what you feel

Jehovah too is present

To help you both to heal

Reach out to him for comfort

For he will ease your load

For his support and guidance

Will smooth your weary road

My words that are here present

That with you now I share

Are meant to say I love you

And show how much I care.

8-9-06 written for Melissa and Marsha as they lost their grandpa last night. He was 85 years old and they were very close to him. I wish I could be there with them.

Little fingers ruffle

Bible pages turn

Seeking words of wisdom

Not too young to learn

Searching little fingers

Caressing every word

Though she's not yet reading

Oh what she has heard

Yet, one day the rustling

Will with meaning spin

For with time, its passage

Reading will begin

I today with wonder

Watch her growing need

And one day with pleasure

I will watch her read!
